Founders Letter: A Message from Mark Willaman Dear Members and Friends,
Welcome to the winter issue of Fish Rap! We had a fantastic year of growth in 2003, and thanks to all of you, www.HRmarketer.com continues to be the HR industry’s leading web-based marketing and public relations service. We recently launched some exciting new features on HR Marketer. The highlight of these new features is that now you can submit your press releases to major Internet news portals and search engines, in addition to the standard media contact list already available on HR Marketer. Submitting your release to the Internet will dramatically increase the exposure of your press releases and guarantees pick-up by search engines like Google and Yahoo! This issue of Fish Rap includes two insightful and informative interviews. The first interview is with Donna Troisi, editor of The Interbiznet Bugler, an online publication that covers the recruiting and HR industry extensively. Donna discusses the topics and trends of the HR industry and the elements that make up a quality press release. The second interview is with Fred Kurst, Trade Show Manager for the annual Human Resource Executive’s HR Technology Conference and Exposition. Fred discusses the in’s and out’s of trade show marketing for HR vendors. You’ll also find the first installment of an ongoing series of columns by Charles Epstein, a public relations professional in the human capital and information technology industries. Charles provides practical advice on implementing an effective PR campaign. Following that, we’ve included an overview of our media relations service along with a feature that compares various PR "wire" services. We also continue our series called “Meet the HR Marketer Staff.” I’ll also share with you our latest HR Marketing success story: RewardsPlus. RewardsPlus has cut their marketing and PR planning time in half since they’ve been using HR Marketer. And finally, in response to our continued growth, I’d like to introduce you all to the latest addition to our HR Marketer staff. Laura DiFlorio joins us as vice president of sales and member satisfaction. In her new role, Laura will work with HR service providers from initial contact through implementation and ongoing use of the HR Marketer service, insuring absolute satisfaction and continued membership growth. Enjoy the newsletter, and on behalf of the entire HR Marketer team, we wish you a successful and prosperous 2004! If you are not currently a member of HR Marketer and wish to learn more about the service, please visit www.HRmarketer.com or contact me directly at (831) 460-9700. Warmest Regards, Mark Willaman President and Founder FISHER VISTA / HR MARKETER |
